Finding the right skincare and facial products is always a tough one for me, my skin is very temperamental, occasionally it boarders on very oily but lately I’ve noticed that its been extremely dry and frankly horrible. My go to for clearing up those dry spots have been coconut oil but I was given the opportunity to try out Wheesht Masks.
Wheesht Masks are a wonderful little skincare company that are trying to make a difference, they are vegan and therefor cruelty free which is something I look for in skincare, what I love the most about these wonderful products is that they get the ‘kelly test’ which is just as it sounds, the product is tested on its founder to make sure the product is perfect and that no animals besides Kelly, is harmed in the making process.
Coming in beautiful little glass bottles which are perfect for reuse and to help reduce our plastic usage which is also something I am really big on the minute and easy for recycling as its always important to take care of your planet as well as your skin.
The Balancing Day Cream, which is a daily moisturiser that helps improve skin appearance and to promote cell regeneration, made with rosehip oil and olive squalene that both work together to help the skin remain hydrated throughout the day, ive loved this little glass jar of delight and ive noticed such an improvement in my dry areas around my nose since using it, which is my biggest trouble area. it does have a slight scent but its not too extreme as I know face creams that you use daily that have a high scent can cause headaches.
On the other hand there is the Cleansing Balm, which smells amazing with scents of mango and lemon, this is such a gentle cleansing balm that is great for removing excess oils without clogging up those pores and clean the skin from daily grime and dirt, they do also have a non fragrance one if you aren’t a fan of stronger smelling face products, I have also enjoyed using this product, I use it every other day on top of my usual skincare routine and its made an improvement to my general skin.
What is also wonderful about this company is that a portion of the earnings they make from each sale goes towards helping water and education to girls in Cambodia, and the fact that they promote ethical skincare along with digital detoxing once in a while from the busy and mad life of the internet and technology.
Vegan products are always such a surprise to me, after diving into the world of vegan and cruelty free products it has been nothing but a positive one and thanks to learning about new brands that proudly wear the leaping bunny, I have added so many new ones to my personal favourite products that I use every day.
You can learn more about Wheesht Masks on their website and I do recommend giving them a try out and support more fantastic companies doing their best to prevent animals from experiencing pain and discomfort for our own beauty.
