I think I’ve mentioned many many times before that I am in fact a crazy cat lady, my boys Loki the mainecoon and Atlas the domestic short hair have featured on my blog for a little while now, they’ve had their own custom beds and fancy Swedish style nap places, along with yummy snacks that come right through the letterbox.
But it got me thinking, that I do not have anything for myself with the boys on and this is where Printsfield comes in, they are a company that specialises in comedic brightly coloured and of course completely customised socks with your pets faces on them, and even your own faces. They kindly offered me the chance to order my own socks and share with you my experiences with them.
The socks themselves are really good quality, I have worn them all around the house and even outside when I take my rubbish out to the bins, they truly hold up to the day to day stresses that feet can be put through. Started in 2018 by Jakub and Mykhailo, who’s main goal when starting up this customisable sock making business was to put the fun back into the world based in Poland these lovely socks are beautiful, fun and just perfect for anyone who enjoys funny accessories that are bright and whenever I wear them and open the door to the postman, get plenty of complements.
What is also wonderful about Printsfield is that a small percentage of each sale of their fantastic socks go towards their chosen charity in Poland which is all for those furry friends who unfortunately do not have a good life and I am all for supporting a brand or company that also use some of their proceedings from their sales to help animals and people who are less fortunate than others.
Choosing your design is pretty straight forward, you select the colour and size of the socks, choose what sort of design you would like, I chose to have a nice neutral grey with blue fishes on it, along with Atlas’ lovely face, however you can choose up to three images on your socks. making sure that the image you’ve selected is clear and crisp enough to be transferred onto the material, expect some sort of distortion, so its best that the image is taken in day light and looks as clear as possible and if you browse their website they do have a handy little guide in their FAQ’s which shows exactly how they need the images to be.
Delivery was incredibly quick, from order it took roughly a week and a half to have my order processed and delivered which I think its fantastic, I expected it to take a little longer due to COVID 19 and even basic letters have taken their time to get to my door, so having them turn up quickly was wonderful and such a nice surprise.
The socks themselves are well designed and feel so soft on and off my feet, its a really nice stretchy material that yes does distort the image when put onto your feet but not to much that its hard to see what the image is, it is clearly my lovely Atlas, they are a little slippy when walking around on my laminate flooring but once I washed them this wasn’t that much of an issue, one thing I think they should include in future design improvements is adding little rubber bits on the feet to help prevent sliding about, but other than that I adore the design and love the socks.
Would I order again? Yes definitely, these seem like such a wonderful idea for silly Christmas gifts and I am going to order a few for my family for Christmas 2020, I can see my dad and step mum enjoying having socks with their dogs on them as well as my mum with her cat Cooper.
I do recommend you give Printfields a try, in fact I have a cheeky little discount code for you if you wish to order from them, which is sarahlouwrites20 which gives you 20% off your order.
