    Toddlerbike – Review.

A while back I was given the opportunity to try out and review the Toddlebike2, Toddlebike was founded by the lovely Jo Hockley and her son, who like all toddlers didn’t enjoy sitting in their buggy.. We had the choice of three different colors, Pink, Blue and Red and naturally, we picked red, its incredibly light, but extremely sturdy, the amount of times i’ve walked in and found my lump of a 6 year old sitting on it.. When it first arrived R wasn’t to sure of it, she spent more time pushing it around rather than sitting on it but it wasn’t long before she figured out the black bit at the end was a seat perfect for little bottoms, she mastered walking around on it inside so once we had a nice sunny day we headed outside and let her try out there too! They are designed to be ‘pre-balance bikes’ which are the best things to get children used to proper bikes when they are older as it teaches them how to balance first before learning the peddles and these are perfect for little legs. Its not to big either, and as I said is extremely light… View Post

Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato Soup #blogtober

This is by far my favorite of the soups out there, I cant remember exactly where I saw this recipe originally but it has been tweaked and made into something that I am going to share with you today. one large butternut two or three sweet potatoes onion two cloves of garlic two pints of stock, mine was chicken salt and pepper Cut and peel the butternut squash and sweet potato, I used pre cut veg as I got these from my local sainsburys and they were half off but if you get the full veg you’ll need to cut them up to about the size of a 50p but nice and thick, set them aside and chop up the onion and garlic cloves Cook them off for a little bit, add in the squash and the sweet potato followed by the chicken stock and let simmer for about twenty minutes. Once the twenty minutes are up, take off the heat and leave to cool before popping it into a blender. I like mine a little thick and gloopy so I don’t add as much water in, grab some of your favorite bread and enjoy. Until next time. Mummy… View Post

Organix Punk’d Oaty Bars – Review

A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to try out and review Organix new product, Punk’d Oaty Bars and of course, given that my children are obsessed with breakfast bars at the moment, I had to,  We have used some Organix products in the past, R loves the carrot sticks like they are going out of fashion so I was excited to get these and give them a go. They come in two different flavours, Strawberry & Vanilla and Cocoa & Orange, The packaging is really attractive, so much so my son has asked for a bedroom of the similar colors as the Strawberry & Vanilla box which is always a good sign! They are perfect for popping in the pack lunch box for school, We made sure to take some with us when we went to the Village Fayre last weekend. There isn’t anything bad in them, all their ingredients is organic and everything else is normal every day ingredients which is always fantastic when it comes to food for children, I am one of those mums who avoid chocolate and sweets (apart from Halloween and Easter) so knowing that whats going into my children is all… View Post

    BCApril Meet Up.

I am a member of a secret group on Facebook full to the brim of awesome ladies and adorable babies, We had talked about meeting up a few times but the only issue we had was the fact that everyone was dotted around the country and there was never a settlement on when/where and what time would be best for all of us.. It went quiet about the subject for a while, but one of the wonderful ladies decided to mention it again as one of the dates that had been picked was slowly appearing in the calendar and the subject came up again, I convinced my mum and.. Off to Birmingham we go!!! R and I stayed over my mums house on the Friday night, our train in the morning was at 8:20 so it made a bit of sense to just have us stay over the night before rather than get a very panicky me onto a train all by myself. We woke up around 5 am, well R woke up at 5am, we just got up with her and got ready, packed up the buggy for the journey and was out of the house by around 7:30am..… View Post

    The Talos Pilgrimage.

I play a game called Skyrim, in the game you are the dragonborn, the chosen one, only you can defeat alduin the world eater and save all of tamriel! Sorry if that made no sense to any of you but there are many in this world who hold the name of Dovahkiin proudly, so much so they get various tattoos from the games universe! And what do we dovahkiin do after we defeated the big bad? Why we go on walks! Skyrim is a stunning place full of trees, waterways, towering glaciers and marshlands and more importantly, hidden treasures! Namely shrines of one of the nine, Talos.. Now Talos.. also known as Tiber Septem, wasn’t technically a god, if you believe what the Thalmor say, but to all who inhabit Skyrim, he is very much a god or one of the Nine Divines and himself dragonborn. The Talos Shrine Massacre – Just off from where you first start in Helgin, before you reach the Guardian Stones there is a path off on your left, follow that and you will stumble upon a horrible scene, The worship of Talos is forbidden and the Thalmor aren’t to kind to any who they… View Post
