Not sure any of you who follow and read my blog are aware but one of my all time favorite movies is The Wizard of Oz, and when I was asked to do a little review on these delightful little plushies I couldn’t resist.
You can find them from Hallmark which is known as a high quality brand for cards and toys for gifts, they come in a collection of different sets and naturally I went for the Oz set and I adore them, when they arrived at my door I opened the packaging up excitedly to find all the main characters from the film plus a flying monkey and of course the wicked witch of the west! (Which is my favorite) re-designed by Adan Chung who wondered what these popular characters would look like smaller and cuter, I received Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, a Flying Monkey and as I mentioned above, the Wicked Witch but I have just found out that also in the collection is Toto and Glinda the Good Witch of the North which I must as I am extremely tempted to purchase and add to my little bundle.
They are about three inches in height and have a beanie baby like feel to them, they do need propping up and cannot stand on their own but are an absolutely perfect collectors item of the wonderful 1939 film which will be celebrating 80 years next year.
There are other collections to choose from and delightfully a Disney collection too with an adorable little Beast and Belle that I am considering getting for the Beauty and the Beast mad Amelia who will watch both the animated movie and the remake in the same day.
Would I recommend them? – I would, personally I adore little things like this, I have a small collection of Pokemon plush toys and back when I was a youngster I had a load of Beanie Babies, so anyone who loves collecting cute plushies, they are definitely more for an older child and adult market purely because of their size and the fact that they are more of a collectors item.
Price – Depending on where you can find them, they range anywhere from £5 to £9 which also depends on if you want to get a limited edition Itty Bitty, as the more limited they are, the higher the price will be, but you can find these on Amazon
Anything Else – The only thing that I can say is be prepared to want more, and I will be getting more in my little collection.
All in all these are cute little toys for you to collect and I am excited to go get myself some more.
Until next time
