Monthly favourite posts have always been such a joy for me, there is something so lovely about giving you my readers a little roundup of the things that have made me happy during the months and because I am trying to get back into the swing of blogging again I wanted to bring it back and share with you the products, places and even games that I have enjoyed through the month of January.
H e l l o F r e s h – I have always wanted to try one of these mail order meal kits, when given the opportunity to try one lot for free I jumped at the chance and have never looked back, I really find that it’s a perfect way to introduce new meals and fresh produce into your every days meal ideas and ive thoroughly enjoyed cooking and trying new things. Even the children have loved it which is saying something as usually they are super picky about what goes onto their plate.
Once a week I get a text reminder that my next Hello Fresh box is on the way and I use that to clear some room in the fridge for the next weeks goodies, I selected three meals in the family package which is plenty enough for the four of us along with anyone else who joins us for dinner and I often find that I freeze some left over meat too for future meals.
I find it something fantastic to have in my home as i’ve always struggled to feed them during the weeks when I only have my children for a few days but thanks to Hello Fresh this hasn’t been the case and we all have enjoyed the boxes.
C r o c k p o t – I got this purely out of a Wim, I wanted to make some chicken noodle soup but didn’t want to use my casserole dish for it, I wanted to be able to watch it and make sure it was cooking to my perfection, I got it off amazon after a good week deciding on what size I should go for, I decided to get the medium size one and since ive got it I have used it multiple times a week, making soups, stews and even honey chicken which was from a facebook recipe page that I follow and I am so glad that I got one, like Hello Fresh its been a welcomed addition to meal times in my home.
W I l l M y C a t E a t M y E y e b a l l s – I reviewed this book earlier on my blog and I had to include it in my monthly favourites, when I got hold of it I couldn’t put the book down and have enjoyed every page of it, written by the wonderful YouTuber mortician Caitlin Doughty about the questions her younger deathlings asked her its a must read and wonderful conversation starter to have on your book shelf.
R o c k e t m a n – Since this movie was released last year I have been obsessed with it, I have listened to the soundtrack dozens of times and watched the movie just as much, Elton John was essentially my first love, little 10 year old me adored him and the minute I found out about the film I needed to see it. now in my 30’s the song Im Still Standing has a new meaning to it for me and this movie and it songs or Eltons songs mean the world to me.
Taron Egerton is a perfect Elton and the rest of the cast are simply amazing and so talented, I honestly cannot get enough of the movie and its songs and I feel like its going to be with me for a long time coming.
L u s h – I have been addicted to lush since my first order but lately since ive been going to Liverpool Street and there is indeed a Lush there I have been going more and more and getting more products, ive thoroughly enjoyed that this is the easiest store for me to get too so now whenever I meet up with my partner I head to lush and top up my collection.
