AD // Printsfield Personalised Socks // Review

I think I’ve mentioned many many times before that I am in fact a crazy cat lady, my boys Loki the mainecoon and Atlas the domestic short hair have featured on my blog for a little while now, they’ve had their own custom beds and fancy Swedish style nap places, along with yummy snacks that come right through the letterbox. But it got me thinking, that I do not have anything for myself with the boys on and this is where Printsfield comes in, they are a company that specialises in comedic brightly coloured and of course completely customised socks with your pets faces on them, and even your own faces. They kindly offered me the chance to order my own socks and share with you my experiences with them. The socks themselves are really good quality, I have worn them all around the house and even outside when I take my rubbish out to the bins, they truly hold up to the day to day stresses that feet can be put through. Started in 2018 by Jakub and Mykhailo, who’s main goal when starting up this customisable sock making business was to put the fun back into the world based… View Post

How to Cope with Life Stress. // Mental Health

We all at some point struggle, find things hard and cannot cope with day to day activities, sometimes we put on a brave face and ‘keep calm and carry on’. but in these times of high stress and quite frankly god horrid times the limit of which we consider breaking point has gotten a little smaller and easier to reach. This got me thinking, what do I do when I have reached my absolute limit of how much I can deal with, how do I cope with life when life feels like its at its worst and I wanted to share with you those tips that I use daily, some times I do use more than one a day to help with certain situations and others do their job just fine for the day. How I Cope Take time out, walking away from a situation is always the best strategy, it helps you calm down and think rationally about what the task ahead is, there is no shame in walking away from a fight, mentally or physically, if you know deep down that you cannot deal with it then it is almost always best to back off, sit down quietly… View Post

Lockdown One Month In // Parenting

In my previous post I shared what we are longing for and cannot wait to do once COVID 19 ends but I thought what more exciting than share with you what we have been getting up to while in lockdown and what fun things we’ve done with homeschooling. That one month certainly went buy extremely slowly but my children and I have managed to fill it with fun things, taking our daily walk around the local woods to spot birds and bluebells, and of course cracking on with home schooling. H O M E  S C H O O L I N G I will be honest, I was a little scared about doing this in the beginning, while I am trained to work with children in the early years setting I was so excited and nervous that I wouldn’t be up to the task, but with the help from Mrs Mactivity and advice, set work and projects from the school teachers, its been a breeze. The children have worked through worksheets sourced by myself and via the school and I have also done a few things off my own back such as growing a garlic from a sprouting clove that… View Post

AD // Wheesht Masks // Vegan Skincare // Review

Finding the right skincare and facial products is always a tough one for me, my skin is very temperamental, occasionally it boarders on very oily but lately I’ve noticed that its been extremely dry and frankly horrible. My go to for clearing up those dry spots have been coconut oil but I was given the opportunity to try out Wheesht Masks. Wheesht Masks are a wonderful little skincare company that are trying to make a difference, they are vegan and therefor cruelty free which is something I look for in skincare, what I love the most about these wonderful products is that they get the ‘kelly test’ which is just as it sounds, the product is tested on its founder to make sure the product is perfect and that no animals besides Kelly, is harmed in the making process. Coming in beautiful little glass bottles which are perfect for reuse and to help reduce our plastic usage which is also something I am really big on the minute and easy for recycling as its always important to take care of your planet as well as your skin. The Balancing Day Cream, which is a daily moisturiser that helps improve skin… View Post

Life after COVID 19 // Personal

We are now one full month of lockdown, life is strange, which is something I often repeat to anyone at the minute because it is, quite frankly, really strange that now we cannot do the things we did so normally a few weeks ago. And it got me thinking about everything I took for granted, everything I did and cannot wait to get back to doing so I wanted to share with you lots of things that me and my children want to get at once this lockdown is over and we have finally kicked covid 19 out of here! ** ~ Visit family ~ Meet friends at the park ~ Going to the shops together ~ Going into London for days out ~ Go back to school ~ Go to Wild and Wacky ~ Have a McDonalds ~ Enjoy a drink at the pub ~ Watch live bands ~ Have my monthly meal with the girls ~ Sleep overs ~ Visit the beach ~ Go to the woods ~ Doing the school runs   ** I know that last sound super weird to anyone apart from me but there was always something to joyful and fun during the school… View Post
